Improving patient care with Early Warning Scoring

Overview

Can clinicians identify potential deterioration in general ward patients before a serious adverse event occurs? Early Warning Scoring (EWS) aggregates patients’ vital signs to flag patients at risk of potential deterioration or ICU admission.

In this Webinar, Dr. Subbe discusses identifying potential signs of early deterioration on the floor, the history of EWS, and the results of the VITAL II study. Later talks in this series will cover automated EWS systems, advanced EWS algorithms, and implementation in a hospital.

Join us to learn about:

  • How EWS can help clinicians catch potential patient deterioration
  • How Triple Modular Redundancy applies to healthcare
  • How a well implemented program can affect patient outcomes
